Super Hungry? Jump to the recipe

I'm always searching for easy meals that take minimal effort on my part - and well this dish checks all the marks: super simple, little mess, and very filling!

On a lazy Saturday afternoon, I was able to whip it up for lunch in about twenty minutes (and we inhaled it in five!): sriracha shrimp and garlic asparagus.

Cooked in two ten minute intervals, the asparagus remains crisp and flavorful, while the sriracha honey infuses with the shrimp. My all time favorite hot honey comes from my very own hometown of Dayton, Ohio!

Ready in just minutes and absolutely bursting with flavor, I'll certainly be adding this dish to my arsenal of easy weeknight dinners!

One Pan Sriracha Honey Shrimp & Asparagus | 20 Minute Meals

Prep Time: 1 minute

Cook Time: 20 minutes

Makes 2-4 servings

The Starving Chef Blog
  • 1 lb asparagus
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 6 tablespoons olive oil, separated
  • 4-5 tablespoons garlic, minced
  • 4 tablespoons sriracha honey (OR 3 tablespoons honey + 1 tablespoon sriracha)
  • 3 tablespoons ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 2 teaspoons red pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon parsley
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, sliced in half
  • 1 tablespoon basil
  • 4-5 tablespoons Parmesan cheese
  • 3 tablespoons butter, sliced thin
  • salt & pepper, to taste

Here's How:

The Starving Chef Blog
  1. Preheat the oven to 375 F. Trim the hard ends off the asparagus and arrange in a single layer on a large jelly roll baking sheet. Season with salt and pepper. Spread on the minced garlic, then drizzle with three tablespoons of olive oil. Bake for ten minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, whisk together the sriracha honey, remaining olive oil, paprika, ginger, red pepper flakes and parsley. Pour over the shrimp and stir until completely covered.
  3. Remove the asparagus from the oven, keeping the heat on. Gently push the asparagus to the side of the baking sheet to make room for the shrimp. Spread the shrimp in a single layer, leaving a corner of space free.
  4. Add the cherry tomatoes in a pile in the remaining corner of the baking sheet. Season with basil and Parmesan cheese. Spread the Parmesan cheese across the asparagus, as desired. Place one slice of butter on top of the tomatoes, and the remaining slices of butter on top of the shrimp.
  5. Bake for an additional ten minutes, or until shrimp is pink and cooked through. Garnish with fresh parsley and Parmesan cheese, as desired. Enjoy!
